Business Program
The Business Program provides free tools, resources, support and funding to help businesses understand the circular economy and reduce waste. Businesses may be eligible to receive:
- support to use the Bin Trim Business App to assess your waste
- a rebate covering up to 50% of the cost of equipment and technology for waste avoidance and recycling through Bin Trim Equipment Rebates
- free waste assessments and support in identified sectors and networks through the Bin Trim Networks Program.

Recycling food waste at work
Most businesses produce some form of organic waste. Donating surplus food instead of discarding it can benefit your business, the community, and the environment. Recycling organics is an easy way for businesses to reduce the amount of waste sent for disposal.
Local Government Waste Solutions Fund
The Local Government Waste Solutions Fund will encourage the transition to a circular economy through supporting innovative waste and recycling solutions designed in collaboration with partners to achieve impactful projects with long-term outcomes.
Other grants and funding
The NSW Waste and Sustainable Materials Strategy 2041 grants and funding will help NSW to transition to a circular economy. The Strategy builds on successful initiatives and programs delivered under the Waste Less Recycle More initiative. The Grants Calendar lists NSW EPA grants and provides their current status. The EPA provides tools, directories, and guidelines on recycling systems to assist business and government.
The Business Recycling directory is an online directory and associated hotline that helps businesses locate recycling services.

EPA resources for local council waste and recycling operations include model waste and recycling contracts, guidelines, reports and more.
The free Bin Trim business app will help you assess your business waste and identify easy actions to avoid and reduce waste and waste costs.
