Before taking asbestos for disposal – phone first

Always contact the landfill or local council beforehand to find out

whether they accept household asbestos
any requirements for delivering asbestos to the landfill
whether you need to book to dispose of asbestos (many landfills require a booking at least 24 hours in advance)
